Hi, I’m Scott Anderson.

I learned franchising the hard way, by doing it. I spent years building, buying and selling underperforming Subway stores across six counties in the North West, and it taught me the value of getting recruitment right at every level. That led me into a master franchise, where the model was basically to sign people up and take the money. It did not sit right with me, so I fixed it. Finding the right fit, through what became the 4D Recruiter, is what let me recruit and retain top performers instead of churning through the wrong ones.

Alongside that I built a dog training business, which gave me a real feel for franchising service brands. It is insight I now share with the pet sector, a niche I specialise in.

I started Zen Consulting because I kept seeing the same thing. Good businesses with a franchisable model, held back not by their product but by how they recruited, supported and managed their network. That is the gap I fill.

How I work is simple. Straight talking, so if your model is not ready to franchise, I will tell you. Fixed scope, so you always know what I am doing and what it costs. Hands on, so I work alongside your team rather than from a distance.
